A Filipino American chemical engineer is stepping onto the pageant stage from California to the Philippines.

Allyson Ee, the representative of Northern California for the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines competition, has officially revealed her participation through an Instagram post.

“The secret is finally out!!! I’m ecstatic to announce that I will be representing the Filipino Community of Northern California in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025 competition. I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received so far and can’t wait to share my journey with you all!” she wrote.

This followed after the announcement of the Miss Universe Philippines franchise in California alongside the three other delegates representing the Filipino community of Northern California.

A science kid through and through, the new MUPH Northern California was born and raised in Metro Manila, where she attended the highly competitive Philippine Science High School.

At the age of 16, she moved to California and later earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Her impressive resume includes working with renowned Silicon Valley companies, including Tesla, where she played a key role in the development of advanced battery engineering technologies.

Earlier this month, Allyson made a courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, where she was warmly welcomed by Consul General Neil Ferrer.

The consul general conveyed his best wishes to Allyson and praised her for her commitment to fostering collaboration in science and technology between the Philippines and Silicon Valley.

As she embarks on her Miss Universe Philippines journey, Allyson stands as a woman breaking barriers in both science and pageantry, all while staying true to her Filipino heritage.

The 2024 Miss Universe Philippines Northern California was Kayla Jean Carter, who eventually became Miss Charm Philippines 2024 and finished as a semi-finalist in the international pageant.
